Neckband-style Bluetooth earphones used to be pretty popular before but have now been overshadowed by the plethora of true wireless earbuds on the market. Thankfully, there are a few manufacturers that still launch new neckband-style Bluetooth earphones, one of which is OnePlus.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 have been announced as a follow-up to the Bullets Wireless Z2 released in 2022. The new pair of Bluetooth earphones were announced in India and will be available for open sale on June 24. Available in Mambo Midnight and Samba Sunset, the Bluetooth earphones are a great alternative for those who often misplace their TWS earbuds.
Unlike earbuds, neckband-style Bluetooth earphones hang around your neck, so even if the earbuds accidentally fall out of your ears, they aren't lost. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 even have magnets, allowing them to attach to each other when not in use. Attaching the earbuds together also causes the earphones to shut down, thus saving battery life.
With an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, the Bullets Wireless Z3 are suitable for working out. There's an in-line remote for controlling playback, calls, adjusting the volume, or calling up your phone's AI assistant. OnePlus's new Bluetooth earphones also have 3D Spatial Audio, AI call noise cancellation, and four EQ presets which sadly can't be customized. Although the BassWave feature can be customized or turned off completely. The Bullets Wireless Z3 have Bluetooth 5.4 and support for Google Fast Pair.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 have a 220mAh battery capacity with a battery life of 36 hours. When the battery is low, a quick 10-minute charge will provide up to 27 hours of use. They are priced at ₹1,699 which converts to roughly $20 or €17 which is super affordable. Unfortunately, OnePlus hasn't said if and when the Bullets Wireless Z3 will be available in other markets. However, the OnePlus Buds 4 will be available in Europe and North America when they launch next month.
