The F12 is a new mini PC that comes in many different configurations. It sports one of three Intel processors and can also be ordered as a barebone version without memory or an SSD.
The F12 isn't exactly a brand-new mini PC, but it's now also offered by Szbox. Specifically, the computer has been listed on Aliexpress for €386, which is the price for the barebone configuration that doesn’t come with RAM or an SSD. Buyers can choose between an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 7 165H. This device ships from China to many different countries, but shoppers should be aware of the potential import fees.
As already mentioned, this is a mini PC with a rather striking design and measures around 6 x 3 x 8.5 inches. The cooling system apparently includes a vapor chamber, which could help keeping temperatures in check even under sustained load. A dedicated graphics card is not available, but an external GPU can be connected via Thunderbolt 4. In this case, users should expect slower performance due to the limited bandwidth of TB4.
Either way, the new Szbox F12 can be ordered with up to 96GB of RAM and two M.2 2280 PCIe SSDs with a total capacity of 4TB. Moreover, the mini PC can be hooked up to networks via WiFi 6 and two Ethernet ports with 2.5Gbit/s each. The remaining connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, DIsplayPort 2.1 and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports on the front, along with two separate 3.5mm jacks for microphones and speakers.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
