Specs for the Samsung Galaxy F62 mid-range smartphone leak out
The guys over at MySmartPrice just shared the leaked specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy F62 mid-range smartphone. This information was provided by Ishan Agarwal, and it looks like the new F-series phone improves just about every aspect from the F41 model that was launched in late 2020.
According to Agarwal, the new smartphone will have the SM-E625f model number and the improvements it brings are quite significant. First of all, the Super AMOLED display size was increased from 6.4-inch to 6.7-inch. Then, the battery (presumably featuring 25 W fast charging) is also getting upgraded with a 7,000 mAh capacity instead of 6,000 mAh. Samsung is keeping the same 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, but the Exynos 9611 SoC is apparently getting replaced with the more powerful Exynos 9825 model. Improvements are also expected for the rear cam setup, which now features four sensors instead of three. Agarwal only mentions that the main camera will still feature a 64 MP sensor, while the selfie cam on the front display is equipped with the same 32 MP sensor. The Galaxy F62 will run on Android 11 One UI 3.1 out of the box. Color options will include green and blue.
From what we can gather, the Galaxy F62 should be officially launched in mid-February as an exclusive for the Indian market. Expected launch price hovers around $340, and other markets may still be able to get something similar, since the F62 appears to be a rebranded Galaxy M62 model, which also features a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB-C port.
