Sony has decided to update the WH-CH520 and WH-C720N to coincide with the arrival of its WH-CH710N earbuds. Available globally, the new versions of its popular audio products are said to be in response to the increased popularity of 'soft, muted tones' in electronics and beyond.

Sony has refreshed two of its over-ear headphones, a little over a month after details of their impending launch appeared online. For context, the updated WH-CH520 and WH-CH720N have arrived alongside the new WF-C710N. Please see our dedicated launch article for more details about Sony's latest pair of TWS earbuds.

To recap, The Walkman Blog revealed that Sony would be adding a pink option for the WH-CH720N (curr. $88.74 on Amazon), which the company has now released. Apparently responding to the 'growing popularity of soft, muted tones', the addition of this 'muted pastel pink' brings the total number of colours in which the WH-CH720N is available to four. The pink version of the WH-CH720N is unchanged hardware-wise from Sony's existing three colour options, though.

The same applies to the WH-CH520, which retains its $59.99 MSRP. However, its colour options have expanded from four to six thanks to Sony also adding a second 'soft, muted yellow' finish. Sony states that it now offers 'Espresso' as a WH-CH520 colour option too, although this is only new in Canada. All new colour options should be available to pre-order from today globally. Deliveries are not set to start until the weekend or the beginning of next week.
