Razer has just added a new gaming laptop to its portfolio. The new, 14-inch Razer Blade 2016, just like the model launched last year, features a 3200 x 1800 pixel display but comes with a new Skylake processor and a more powerful graphics card.

The new Razer Blade is powered by Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor as well as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M graphics, along with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and 256 GB or 512 GB of solid state storage.

The laptop's aluminium body is 0.7 inches thick and weighs 4.25 pounds. Connectivity options include three USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt 3, WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. The anti-ghosting keyboard offers a possibility to change the backlight color of each key individually.

According to Razer, "the new Razer Blade will be compatible with the Razer Core external graphics enclosure in the near future."

Pre-orders for the Razer Blade will start today on RazerStore.com. The variant with 256 GB of SSD is available at $1,999, while the 512 GB one costs $2,199. Shipping is scheduled to start in April.
