Quixant unveils Iqon3 silent mini PCs with AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 APUs tailored for game cabinets

Quixant focuses on delivering innovative hardware platforms for the casino gaming, sports betting and retro arcade sectors. Its portfolio includes kiosk and cabinet solutions, as well as small form-factor PCs like the Iqon lineup that can be easily integrated in cabinets. As the latest additions to the lineup, the Iqon3 mini PCs are powered by AMD’s Ryzen PRO 8000 APUs with integrated Radeon 7X0M iGPU and feature an interesting take on rugged passively-cooled chassis with a signature orange color.

The IQON3 models support up to 64 GB RAM via two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots and come with a robust storage side that features the usual M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD slot, 2x CFast 2.0 slots, 2x SATA3 slots and up to 128 Kb user EEPROM.

Port selection is specifically tailored for the gaming cabinet industry and integrates modern ports, as well as a wide variety of classic serial ports. For modern day ports we find 4x USB-A 3.2, 4x USB 2.0, extensions for additional USB-A 3.2 and USB 2.0 inside, plus 2x USB 2.0 headers. There also are 2x PCIe slots for GbE NICs. Serial coms include 6x ports compatible with SAS, JCM, RS485 and RS232, 1x SPI header, 1x I2C interface and 2x iButton interfaces.

The audio side packs the usual HD audio 7.1 controller and also gets 4-Ohm stereo amplified outputs with 15 W per channel.

Other features worth mentioning include protected 4 MB NVRAM, support for 6x LED strips, TPM 2.0 and unique electronic serial number digital security, and additional physical security measures such as metal case with keylock, active monitoring for write protect changes, plus hardware AES256 engine.
