The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will feature four unique CPU clusters. There will be one high-performance Cortex-X core, two efficiency Cortex-A5xx cores, two performance Cortex-A7xx cores and an additional three Cortex-A7xx cores. Its Adreno GPU will supposedly be clocked at 750 MHz.

More information about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 continues to show up online. Previously, we learned about the flagship AP's general core configuration and clock speeds. Twitter leaker Kuba Wojciechowski now expands upon the information with interesting new tidbits. The leak confirms a 1+5+2 core split for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and delves deeper into the details of each cluster. Twitter leaker @Tech_Reve chimes in, stating the AP could benefit from higher clocks, lower voltages and more cache.

As expected, there's a Cortex-X4 "gold+" core codenamed Hunter. The five "mid" Cortex-A7xx cores are split into two clusters titled "gold" and "titanium", comprising three and two cores, respectively. Lastly, there are two efficiency Cortex-A5xx "silver" cores codenamed Hayes. In essence, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 sports a 1+3+2+2 configuration, making it only marginally different than its predecessor's 1+2+2+3 split.

Kuba's source adds the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will drop support for 32-bit apps altogether. It tacitly confirms there'll be no Cortex-A710 cores in the mid-cluster, allowing for better multi-core performance. Furthermore, the "Heyes" and "Hunter" cores unannounced Arm products. This should help the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 get close to, if not achieve, its stellar Geekbench performance.

Lastly, the AP's Adreno 750 GPU will be clocked at 750 MHz, more or less the same as the current-gen Adreno 740 found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. That said, Qualcomm could revise the frequency as the launch approaches, although there might not be much scope for it due to it being manufactured on a marginally better TSMC node.
