Uniqlo is teaming up with the Pokémon Trading Card Game for a new apparel collection this summer. The popular clothing brand took to X (formerly Twitter) to unveil 17 adult and kids’ designs that showcase both classic TCG art and Pokémon TCG Pocket illustrations.
The new fashion drop is set to hit the Japanese Uniqlo stores in mid-August, and the line is expected to roll out globally shortly thereafter. The prices will range from 990 yen to 2,990 yen (roughly $7 to $21 USD), with sizes spanning XS to XXXXL. This marks Uniqlo’s second Pokémon collaboration of 2025, following its spring “Pokémon UT” graphic tee lineup. This previous lineup featured Gen 1 classics like Pikachu and Eevee alongside Gen 5’s Piplup, Gen 7’s Mimikyu and Gen 9 starters in men’s and baby sizes.
As per the official announcement, here are some highlights of the upcoming collection -
- Adult lineup - Gengar, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Snorlax, Slowpoke, Unown, Magikarp, Omanyte and Gardevoir
- Kids’ lineup - Pikachu, Mewtwo, Mew, Mimikyu, Lapras, Lucario, Eevee and Charizard
The T-shirts retail for 1,500 yen ($11) for adults and 990 yen ($7) for kids, while sweatshirts cost 2,990 yen ($21) and 1,990 yen ($14), respectively. Although U.S. pricing has yet to be confirmed, licensed Uniqlo graphic tees typically range from $20 to $30, suggesting a modest premium on the local market.
Fans eager to snag the new tees can preview designs on Uniqlo’s official website and social media channels ahead of the global release. Those hoping to get exclusive pieces, like the Charizard ex design from Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Genetic Apex set, should set calendar reminders, as limited runs are likely to sell out quickly.
Uniqlo’s latest drop is an addition to its growing track record of gaming and anime collaborations. The brand’s past partnerships include Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Tekken and anime properties like Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man and Gundam.
