Reviews for the Panasonic Toughbook CF-T4

Panasonic ToughBook T4 Review
Source: Notebookreview.com English
Sure, it's ugly, but I'll take function over form any day. As a work computer, I loved the T4. I don't do any power computing as a law student, and I won't as a lawyer. The small footprint left plenty of room on my desk for books, printouts, and a beverage. In my ideal computing world, the T4 would be my notebook for work and I'd have a beast of a desktop for multimedia and gaming at home. Packing this computer back up and sending it back to Panasonic won't be easy.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 is an integrated (onboard) graphic chip with shared memory on Mobile Intel 915GM chipset. It is the predecessor of Graphics Media Accelerator 950. The performance can be compared with the Mobile Radeon 9000 (with a 64 bit memory bus).

Only older games can be played fluently with these graphics chips (if they were not too demanding). Shared memory graphic cores in this category got the advantage of less heat production and longer battery runtimes. For office, internet, image processing, and video editing tasks these graphics chips are still useable without any restrictions.

Intel Pentium M: With Intel chip set (855 or 915) and Intel WLAN also available with the name Centrino (name for the package).
In the comparison very fast per megahertz and very modest with weaknesses in floating point operations.
It is also available as a low voltage version with very small current consumption.

753:

12.1": This is the most common display format for subnotebooks and an average size for subnotebooks.
The advantage is, that the subnotebook can be small dimensioned and can be carried easily. Further the tiny display has the advantage, that it needs less power, which improves the battery runtime and in consequence the mobility. The disadvantage is that reading of texts is very exhausting vor the eyes. High resolutions can hardly be used.
>> To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

1.5 kg: This sub-notebook weighs less than the average of all notebooks and represents a medium class of weight among the sub-notebooks. 11 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.

Panasonic: Panasonic is an international notebook manufacturer, but with rather small market shares and few laptop reviews. Panasonic concentrates its notebook sortiment to the niche of ruggedized notebooks, which are made for rough outdoor usage. The ratings are slightly above average.

Panasonic reviews

76.5%: This rating is not convincing. It must be considered, that there exist hardly any laptops, which receive a rating below 60%. This notebook is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
