IFA 2010: Sony unveils a 3D Vaio notebook
You will still need your 3D glasses to watch movies here though
Sony has announced a new Vaio model with 3D vision capabilities during the IFA 2010 here in Berlin. The model that was displayed was more of a prototype though, as the Japanese electronics giant announced that it will be in the market only by spring next year.
The Vaio laptop will have a dedicated 3D button that will initiate the 3D image rendering, and with the help of the glasses your both eyes will see the same object separately (unlike what happens in real-life scenario) to give it a three-dimensional look.
Not many details are known apart from the 3D vision support, but the screen should have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with support for 1080p video playback. Sony promises a fast video playback of up to 240 frames per second.
