NEC introduced two new series of notebooks – the LaVie L and LaVie S
Headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, NEC has reportedly announced in a press release today that it will introduce two new series of notebooks. The company has also disclosed some of the specs, however, there is still no word on pricing and availability.
Both LaVie L and LaVie S notebooks will be equipped with 15.6-inch LED-backlit widescreen displays. According to Akihabara News, one the high-end models will sport a 3D panel. Customers will presumably be provided with the opportunity to choose among a number of high-performance Sandy Bridge central processing units, including an Intel Core i7-2630QM. This processor has a core frequency of 2.00 GHz and 45W max. TDP. Furthermore, it is ranked 15 in our CPU Benchmark List.
NEC’s new laptops will ship with 4-to 8GB of internal memory and mechanical hard drives as large as 750GB. An optional Blu-Ray drive is also available.
Further features reportedly include a wireless TV Tuner and Yamaha Audio Engine.
