17.3" and 15.6" gaming laptops now feature 2GB M290X graphics along with a full-HD display and A10 CPU.

MSI today unveiled more details about their refresh of the GX Destroyer Series, arming the gaming laptops with AMD's latest goods. Featuring updated CPU and GPU components, the laptops begin at $1,300 and should be available soon.

Both the 17.3" GX70 and the 15.6" GX60 have been updated, as they now feature an AMD A10-5750 CPU (2.3-3.5GHz) along with a 2GB Radeon R9-M290X graphics card, which is very similar to the HD 8970M. Both notebooks also feature a full-HD 1920x1080 display as well as a 1TB (7200RPM) HDD, but the GX70 will come with 12GB of RAM compared to the GX60's 8GB.

The GX Destroyers are also the first gaming laptops to feature MSI's Dragon Gaming Center, a shortcut key that shuts down unnecessary software and optimizes the machines to deliver a more powerful gaming experience. The duo will be available sometime in the near future and start at $1,299 for the GX60 and $1,399 for the GX70.
