One thing is sure – the GP76 Leopard now looks classier, and dare we say – passive-aggressive. Its build quality is on point with a very strong chassis and a lid that opens easily with a single hand. When it comes to performance, we see that the 130W version of the RTX 3060 happens to outdo the 85W RTX 3070 in some titles, although the difference in others is wildly in favor of the latter.

As far as the gaming experience goes, we were pretty satisfied. The keyboard is great, not only in terms of usability but with its per-key RGB backlight. In addition to that the Dragon Center software allows you to choose from a set of performance presets – either get a quiet machine or extract the maximum of the package. In our case, the laptop was a bit on the noisy side, when you opt for the full power, and if you want lower temperatures, you can make the laptop even louder with the appropriate function button.

The fans are loud, although not extremely so. Most of that noise is caused by air moving through the chassis; one of the fans is actually silent since all you hear is the additional airflow when it activates and is added to the cooling. That's nothing that can't be fixed by cranking up the decent audio, or you could just use some nice headphones, which most are going to anyways. Lack of a card reader, touch screen, and 4K stand out a bit and keep this from being a true top-end system, but the hardware is nicely matched, making for a decent gaming experience, especially when NVIDIA DLSS is thrown into the mix, which shouldn't be overlooked. As a platform, I really like the GP76 Leopard, but that price tag is not one everyone can afford, and some things that stand out as missing can be found on other models from MSI. That leaves the MSI GP76 Leopard as a great gaming desktop replacement option with portability for when you need to be mobile, albeit at the cost of 3D performance.

That’s about it for now, and bear with us as we’re filling up the blanks, MSI haven’t shared much with us in preparation to this video. Looking forward to spending more time with these and put them through their paces, and then share our findings with you. In the meantime, I’d love to hear what you think about these updated GP66 and GP76 Leopard lines.

The MSI GP76 Leopard is a powerful gaming laptop equipped with a next-gen Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU to handle anything in your Steam library, but 'steam' should be coming out of the vents at the temperatures we encountered. With a huge 17.3-inch 144Hz display, this is still a great laptop if you can handle the heat.

Only one thing counts with the new MSI Vector GP76 gaming laptop: speed! A 360 Hz display with a real response time of 4ms (gray to gray), a 150 W TGP Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and an Alder Lake Intel Core i7-12700H all come together in an almost unbeatable package.
