Lenovo spills spec details of IdeaPad Y460p and Y560p

Lenovo Group Limited on the 4th of January 2011 let out details pertaining to the specifications of its IdeaPad Y460p and Y560p which the company announced last month. These products are equipped with AMD's new Radeon HD 6000M graphics and can have as much as a 6550M in the 14-inch Y460p and an even more though only marginally faster 6570M in the larger, 15.6-inch Y560p.
Processing wise these models by Lenovo are said to feature the complete range of Sandy Bridge chips from the 2.1GHz Core i3 through to the quad 2.5GHz Core i7. Also there is the option of 32GB or 64GB SSD as an OS drive with the benefit that it helps to enhance time savings in terms of lesser boot time while not affecting a primary disk up to 1TB.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Y460p, Y560p can afford as much as 8GB of RAM and a Blu-ray drive, and also the presence of JBL speakers in the Yx70 series. Battery life however proves to be a dampner with a below average performance of 3.5 hours.
As for the pricing, we are still on the wait and watch mode as Lenovo has failed to divulge any information on the cost and shipping date of the IdeaPad Y460p and Y560p.
