Simulacra is a unique ARG experience that tasks you with solving the mysterious disappearance of a young woman named Anna. Similar to the "found footage" trope in horror movies, you find Anna's phone.
The lost smartphone contains a wealth of information to help you solve the case, including Anna's messages, her installed apps, photos, and even videos that hint at what might have happened.
The story unfolds primarily through this medium, blending a detailed and realistic phone interface with very topical questions about privacy and security. At its heart is a slow burn horror thriller with an unsettling atmosphere and scarce jump scares. The digital world the game creates feels surprisingly real, with live actors portraying the game's characters.
The narrative branches off into five different endings depending on the choices you make.
