The Huawei FreeBuds 6 earbuds were announced last month in Europe, but before then, they were already available to buy in China. First announced in March in Starry Black, Aurora Purple, and Sky White, Huawei has now announced a fourth color option.
The new color is rose gold and it looks a lot like the new Sand Gold Redmi Note 14. Currently exclusive to China, the new color costs the same price as the other three. There is even a discount that brings them down to CNY 949 (~$132/€115 )instead of CNY 999 (~$139/€121). Save for the new paint job, the Rose Gold color has the same features as the rest of the color options.
The unusually-shaped FreeBuds 6 earbuds have Bluetooth 5.2, support for LDAC, and are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified. They are compatible with not just Huawei's own products, but they also work with Android and iOS devices. The earbuds have an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, dual magnetic driver units, and active noise cancellation.
The Huawei FreeBuds 6 boast a battery life of up to 6 hours with ANC turned off and 4.5 hours with ANC on. With the charging case, the total battery life is 36 hours with ANC turned off and 27 hours with ANC activated. There's also support for fast charging as a 5-minute charge will provide up to 2.5 hours of use.
If you do not care for the new color, then now is a good time to purchase any of the other colors as they are down to €145.16 on Amazon, roughly €14 off the launch price of €159 less than a month ago.
