The HP EliteBook x360 G4 is based on its predecessor but offers a rather interesting touchscreen. It has a matte surface but is very difficult to read due to HP's screen protection technology. Find out what else the convertible has to offer in our review.

Whereas Lenovo and Dell have been slowly moving away from 16:9 to 16:10 for some of its higher-end office laptops, HP seems content with sticking to 16:9 for the time being. The EliteBook x360 1030 G7 is HP's best iteration of a 16:9 13.3-inch office subnotebook yet.

In fairness, that’s what you should expect from a business laptop, and with a battery life of 9hrs 53mins in our video rundown test, support for Intel’s vPro and an excellent three-year warranty for parts and labour – upgradeable to on-site for £79 exc VAT – it will fit neatly into any fleet of managed laptops. Before you buy, though, make sure the intended users will make use of the privacy screen on their travels or you’ll be wasting money on a feature that in day-to-day use is a negative.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
i7-8565U: Whiskey Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Kaby Lake but produced in a further improved 14nm++ process). The four cores are clocked between 1.8 and 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading.
Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10810U: Comet Lake based low power hexa-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced in 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.1 and 4.9 GHz with HyperThreading (12 threads). The integrated memory controller supports DDR4-2666 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (12.5 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). The CPU supports vPro (as a difference to the i7-10710U).
i7-10610U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced on 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.8 and 4.9 GHz (unverified) with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports DDR4-2666 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). Compared to the similar Core i7-10510U, the 10610U supports vPro.
