Although most electric car manufacturers nowadays prioritize the popular SUVs segment as well as the more efficient sedan body style, a group of talented graphic designers has now transformed the Hyundai Ioniq 6 into a full-grown station wagon that would certainly attract some buyers on the European market.

The South Korean carmaker Hyundai continues to make massive waves with its attractive battery-powered electric vehicles. Just recently, the new Hyundai Ioniq 6 caused a stir after it was revealed that electric sedan would feature a rather unusual rear design including a spoiler that is quite reminiscent of a legendary sports car made by a reputable German automaker.

However, the rear of a possible station wagon variant of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 could look radically different, and its exterior has now been illustrated in three unofficial but beautiful render images created by the ingenious graphic designers at Kolesa. The purported design envisions a sloping roofline, which would give the family-friendly electric car a sporty look. These pictures further include the eye-catching pixel taillights as well as a striking rear wing, which has been transformed into a roof spoiler on the Hyundai Ioniq 6 station wagon.

Meanwhile, the development of a station wagon variant of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 does not seem too far-fetched. Just last month, the South Korean company’s chief designer confirmed in an interview that he could make a great shooting brake out of the Hyundai Ioniq 6. This would allow the automaker to enter a market segment that is still very popular among European buyers in particular. As of today, the best-known electric station wagons are probably the Porsche Taycan Cross Tourismo and Sport Tourismo, which could soon take on a much more reasonably priced competitor in the form of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 station wagon.
