Google Pixel 7: Amazon leaks surprisingly low Eurozone pricing
Recently, Amazon US listed the Pixel 7, confirming a US$599 launch price for the device's 128 GB variant. Incidentally, the same listing detailed the Pixel 7's release date, which we have covered separately. Presumably, the same date applies to the Pixel 7 Pro, although perhaps not the Pixel Watch.
Subsequently, Amazon Spain added the same SKU as Amazon US, as has its German counterpart. Seemingly, Amazon Germany's pricing of €699.17 is a placeholder, considering its non-standard rounding. Instead, Amazon Spain's pricing seems more realistic, which would see the Pixel 7 arrive for the same price as its predecessor. Unfortunately, Pixel 7 Pro pricing has not leaked yet.
For context, it had been assumed that Google would follow in Apple's footsteps by raising prices across the board in Europe and beyond. Typically, US prices have always been cheaper than their European counterparts, but an ongoing weak Euro has resulted in Apple raising iPhone 14 series prices while maintaining existing pricing in the US. Hopefully, Google's price freeze in Europe will apply to other markets too.
