Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. has announced that from 1 October 2025, all Citizen brand watches will include a 3-year international warranty, which extends the current one-year global coverage. The guarantee applies regardless of where the watch is purchased, which will let customers receive support anywhere in the world through Citizen’s authorized service network.
Until now, warranty coverage has varied by region. In most markets, international warranties lasted one year, while certain regions such as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom offered longer local warranties of up to five years. The European Union also provided a two-year regional supplement. The new policy replaces these differing terms with a single global standard.
Citizen explicitly mentioned its Eco-Drive and Super Titanium lines in the announcement. For reference, Eco-Drive models are powered by light and do not require battery replacement, while Super Titanium watches are designed to be lightweight and scratch-resistant. Both series will be covered under the updated three-year guarantee.
Founded in 1930, Citizen has grown from its origins in Japan to become a global brand, recognized for innovations such as the world’s first multi-band atomic timekeeping watch and the Eco-Drive technology introduced in the 1970s. The company also owns several other watch brands, including Bulova and Frédérique Constant.
