Ahead of the launch of the CMF Headphone Pro, the manufacturer has revealed an important detail about the new product. The Headphone Pro, which will be unveiled on September 29, are CMF's first pair of headphones, and they will be arriving just a few months after the launch of the Nothing Headphone (1).
CMF already shared a few teaser videos that partially show the design of the headphones which are colorful and modular. Now, a new post on X has revealed the battery life of the pair of headphones. This important detail reveals the CMF Headphones will not only best several rivals, but also surpass the Nothing Headphone (1).
According to a post on X, the Headphone Pro will have a battery life of 100 hours. While it isn't unheard of, not many headphones can boast a battery life that long. As a matter of fact, the Nothing Headphone (1) are advertised as having up to 80 hours of battery life on a single charge albeit with ANC off and while listening using AAC codec. The battery life of the Nothing Headphone (1) drops to 35 hours with ANC turned on with the same Bluetooth codec.
However, when you switch to LDAC and have ANC turned off, the battery life is 54 hours, but it drops to 30 hours when you turn on ANC while using LDAC. Based on the above, the 100 hours of battery life of the CMF Headphone Pro is probably with ANC turned off while using AAC. So, users should expect a reduction in battery life with ANC turned on and while using a different Bluetooth codec. Nevertheless, having better battery life than the Nothing's own headphones is a plus considering they should be cheaper than the Nothing Headphone (1) which cost $299 on Amazon.
The latest teaser also reveals the headphones will have an audio jack, so that they can be used as wired headphones when the need arises. An earlier teaser showed there's a USB-C port on the other earcup, but until the headphones are announced, we can't say if the USB-C port also supports audio over USB-C.
