Baseus is a manufacturer with a remarkably diverse product portfolio, ranging from security cameras (available on Amazon) to charging accessories and audio equipment. The company recently unveiled the BH1, a new pair of over-ear wireless headphones priced at around $35 in China. Whilst pricing and availability for BH1 in the US and Europe haven’t been officially announced, a release in these regions seems likely given similar Baseus products are already available there.
Judging by its domestic pricing, the Baseus BH1 appears to offer solid specs at an affordable price. The company claims the headphones can reduce ambient noise by up to 45 dB through a combination of passive isolation and active noise cancellation. Equipped with four microphones, the device can capture ambient sounds roughly 400,000 times per second to enable adaptive noise cancellation.
The Baseus BH1 features 40 mm drivers, a common choice for such over-ear headphones. One feature that makes it stand out amongst budget offerings is its support for LDAC – a high-res codec capable of handling up to 96 kHz/24-bit audio. The built-in 600 mAh battery charges over USB-C and promises up to 55 hours and 80 hours of use with and without ANC enabled, respectively. The ANC also works when the headphones are connected through the 3.5 mm audio jack. Weighing 238 g (8.4 oz), the BH1 supports pairing with up to two devices and includes a low-latency mode that reduces lag to just 38 ms. A companion app is also available for headphone customisation and management.
