Asus A6 Notebook ReviewSource: NotebookreviewThe ASUS A6KT is a great budget multimedia notebook. It doesn’t matter if you want to just browse the net or watch a DVD or play a favorite video game, you can do it all on this versatile notebook. As long as you know what you want from your laptop and set your configuration priorities straight, this notebook could easily become what you’ve been looking for. The 15,4’’ screen is bright and clear enough to enjoy multimedia content on the laptop in every lighting situation, and even more so thanks to the Mobility Radeon X1600 the laptop comes with. The A6KT is a good, quality buy, a strong, stylish laptop, with decent portability and battery time.

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600: ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 resembles the desktop X1600 (plus Powerplay 6.0 current saving mechanisms), but is quite slower than the desktop X1600 because of the slower clock speed. It is part of the most powerful third of mobile video cards, is able to represent newest games and without any doubt apt for office applications and surfing.

AMD Turion 64: AMD Turion 64 is a derivate of the Athlon 64, contains an integrated memory controller for PC3200 memory and a mode for low current consumption. The ML variants need 35 Watts and the MT variants 25 Watts energy. The Turion 64 is comparable with Pentium M regarding the speed.

15.4": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks. 15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays.
The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much current and the laptops can be kept quite compact.

Asus: Asus is an international manufacturer of medium size. In German and English speaking countries nowadays many notebooks of Asustec are reviewed. Nevertheless rather few laptop models achieve top-positions according total ranking and prize/value-rating.
