A day after it showed off Ryzen Pro CPUs for enterprises, AMD has stealthily dropped another desktop part. This time it is a desktop GPU, and unsurprisingly, it belongs to the RDNA 3 family. The GPU in question is the Radeon RX 7700 non-XT, and as its name suggests, it is a cut-down 7600 XT.
It comes with 40 CUs, 40 Ray Accelerators, 80 AI accelerators, 96 ROPs and 2,560 stream processors. It has 18 GB of 19.5 Gbps GDDR6 RAM (624 GB/s memory bandwidth) with 40 GB of Infinity Cache. Lastly, its total board power is 263 W, and AMD recommends a 700 Watt PSU and two 8-pin power connectors. Interestingly, that figure is slightly higher than that of the RX 7700 XT (245 W), which is odd because the RX 7700 is a weaker part.
AMD markets the RX 7700 as a 1400p card, which can comfortably maintain a steady 60 FPS in popular titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Red Dead Redemption 2, Dying Light 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. It hasn't specified the price of the RX 7700 or when it will be available for purchase. It will likely hit pre-built machines first and hit the DIY market later.
