A new Motorola Edge S leak puts the smartphone's launch date at January 26, 2021

The leaker @TechnoAnkit1 has posted what looks like an official Chinese-language teaser for the launch of the Motorola Edge S. It indicates that the phone will debut on January 26, 2021, which could make the device the first to launch with the Snapdragon 870 processor.

Otherwise, it looks like the Edge S will launch with a fairly standard-looking quad rear camera hump and the same double punch hole selfie camera for its 6.7-inch display. The panel is said to have an atypical 105Hz refresh rate, which could be a selling point beside its whole new tier of Qualcomm chipset.

It is also now rumored to have Shining White Silver and Beryl Blue colorways at launch. Then again, these rumored specs give no indications as to what might be the most important aspect of the Edge S: its price. With skyrocketing costs in the flagship tier, Motorola could well clean up with its new semi-premium handset.
