Supermarket Simulator has finally exited early access with its 1.0 launch on Steam, adding online orders, upgraded visuals, and plans for multiplayer and console support. It’s 25% off ($14.99) until June 26.

Supermarket Simulator is no longer a work in progress. As of June 19, the once-viral early access hit has entered full release on Steam, turning its chaotic store management gameplay into a finished product. Players who’ve been stocking shelves, cleaning spills, and juggling customers since February can now experience the game with added polish, new features, and a glimpse of what’s next - including multiplayer and console ports.

The game, developed by solo creator Yusuf Toptan under the Nokta Games label, has spent the last year and a half building on its unexpectedly massive Early Access reception. What started as a four-month solo project has now turned into one of the most-played indie simulation games on Steam, amassing over 65,000 reviews and a near-universal "Very Positive" rating.

With the 1.0 release, players now have access to an online orders and delivery system, letting them pack and ship customer orders directly from their store. The update also introduced a long list of visual improvements, such as updated lighting, furniture models, character visuals, and new outdoor lighting for a more immersive world. Performance has also been tightened with improved VRAM management and reduced CPU overhead.

Beyond the core update, the devs have confirmed that a console launch is on the way later this year, targeting Xbox and PlayStation (PS5 Slim curr. $499 on Amazon). Multiplayer support is also in the pipeline, which will let players co-manage their stores with friends. This could be another big milestone for this already successful game.

Despite its cozy visual style, players have repeatedly emphasized how intense and time-consuming the gameplay loop can become, especially when trying to keep up with demand, stock shelves, and manage employees all at once. That balance, though, is a big part of what has kept players hooked, with some reviews clocking in at hundreds of hours of playtime.

Supermarket Simulator is currently available at a launch discount of 25%, bringing the price down to $14.99 until June 26.
