eviGroup unveils the 10.2-inch Paddle Pro tablet

eviGroup has come out with a new tablet - the 10.2-inch Paddle Pro with a native resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels. The Tablet that is built on Intel’s Pine Trail Platform also offers the capacitive touchscreen technology for its display along with services by head-tracking software.

Processing power

Processing is powered by an Intel Atom N450 central processing unit with a clock speed of 1.66 GHz that is same as that of the old N280, with only a slight performance gain. Also there is the GMA (graphics media accelerator) 3150 integrated graphics.

Other specs

The Paddle Pro is equipped with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, which is another disappointment owing to the fact that the N450 does not support DDR3 memory module. There is a hard disk drive whose internal capacity is of 160 GB. By shelling out a little extra bucks, users can avail the flexibility of upgrading to 2 GB of RAM and 320 GB of storage .The tablet ensures that you always score high on connectivity with the provision of options like 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, an SD/MMC card reader, wireless connectivity and 3G. Also there is provision of an inevitable webcam to add that finishing touch to the tablet.

Price

Pricing of the 10.2-inch Paddle Pro by eviGroup differs on various fronts, with plenty of options to make a pick from. The basic model without a pre loaded operating system made available at a price of 890 Euro or around 1,214.82 USD, while for a Windows 7 Home Premium that is pre-installed, the price charged will be 990 Euro or 1,351.42 USD. The 2 GB RAM, 320 GB storage would however cost you an additional 79 Euro or approximately 107.841 USD.
