Apple testing 7.85-inch iPad prototype

Teaser
Apple might as well launch a mini-iPad for the small tablet market users.

Steve Jobs indeed categorized the tablets smaller than the iPad as being dead on the arrival, but Jobs was also famous for dismissing an idea today and adhere to the tomorrow, which supports the current persisting rumor about a new Apple tab which would stand for competition in the Amazon kindle Fire and the most awaited Google branded tablet.

The latest rumor has arrived from one of the podcasts of the Daring Fireball Blogger, John Gruber who mentioned about the testing of a 7.85 inch iPad in the Company’s laboratories. The tablet would apparently be 1024X768 pixels in resolution like the first two-generations of the iPad. Although the resolution might cause the iPad to look like a crisper screen on a smaller device. The main concern is the price tag of the projected iPad.

But for now the news that has got everyone thinking is, “Whether Apple will be releasing a mini-iPad”. The possible growth in the small tablets market might lead Apple to bring out a NanoPad or mini-iPad as in the case of the Apple iPod.
