Toshiba AT100 tablet reaching UK tomorrow

Toshiba AT100 earlier known as Thrive tablet to be released in the UK markets from tomorrow

Toshiba the Japanese giant has confirmed that they are releasing their latest AT100 tablet in the UK from tomorrow onwards. This tablet was previously known as the Thrive tablet. This model is powered by Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system. It has a powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2.1GHz processor.

Toshiba said that users who wanted to enjoy HD performance on their tablet this model is Ideal for them. They also added that AT100 had combined NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor technology with Android 3.1 providing both power and everyday ease-of-use.

This tablet has a capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 1280pixel resolutions. Toshiba has provided a 1GB DDR2 RAM and an optional storage of 16GB or 32GB solid state drive. Rear camera equipped is 5.0MP and the front one is 2.0MP which will mainly come in use during video calls. Toshiba has provided full size USB and HDMI ports along with mini USB port and SD card reader.

The tablet weighs around 765gm (26.98oz). It is quite thick as compared to other models of tablets and measures 15.8mm (0.62inches). According to Toshiba the tablet is going to provide a battery life of about seven hours during multimedia playback.

An option of changing the cover is also introduced with it. Six interchangeable covers are available for AT100. There are also some optional accessories such as the Multi-Dock, an external case and replaceable battery packs for this model. Price fixed for the model will start from £400 for the 16GB model.
