Seems like the next Tablet from ASUS is on its way for the market and might get released by the 22nd of April. This new tablet will be called as the Asus Transformer Pad 300 and some of the online retailers have already started taking pre-orders for the same.
According to a report on PC world the tablet will be joining the market competition with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. It is also interesting to notice that the name of the device drops the ‘Eee’ part, which used to be part of the name of its predecessors.
This device will be powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and will run on a 1GB RAM. It will have storage of 32GB of storage available and will also sport a 10.1inch display. It will be powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
If we count the other specifications it will include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G connectivity and front and rear cameras. It includes a battery which is expected to provide a backup up to 10 hours which can further be extended with an additional battery for 15 hours. A keyboard dock will also be sold separately for the device for the customers who prefer to have a laptop experience while working.
The device will be offered to the customers for $399. So we can believe that this price tag will surely attract a good number of customers as the device is also equipped with most of the latest technologies. The low price of the device might be a strategy to compete with the market rulers the Apple’s iPad. Even the latest model of iPad with the retina display has added their sales since it has been released in the market.
