Lenovo, HP, Acer and Asus are all netbook manufacturers that have previously announced or released netbooks with the Atom N570 processor, and now it appears that German IT company, Wortmann AG, is looking to join the group. According to the company’s product listing, a new 10” netbook with the Atom N570 processor is ready for release.
Most Wortmann AG products are marketed under the “Terra” moniker and their latest netbook is no different. The Terra Mobile 1021GO will feature a 10” screen with an Intel Atom N570 Dual-Core processor clocked at 1.66GHz. The netbook will also feature a 1024x600 pixel resolution, 1GB of DDR3 RAM (max. of 2GB), Intel Integrated GM 3150 graphics, a 250GB HDD, and a 1.3 MP webcam.
Unfortunately, it appears that the 1021GO netbook will ship with a paltry 3-cell battery that results in a mere 3 and a half hours of runtime. On the other hand, it appears the laptop can be outfitted with an optional 6 cell battery to help keep it running for longer periods of time. As of now, the newest Terra Mobile netbook has only been spotted on the German webshop, but it could find its way to foreign markets in the future. The Windows 7 Starter version of the laptop is currently being listed for €319 while the Windows 7 Professional version is listed for €398.
