Tablets and eBook owners near-doubled post-holiday

Teaser
Tablets and E-readers have doubled their numbers during the holiday sales

With a recent release of the market statistics by the Pew Research Center it is now clear that 19 percent of the adult Americans use some kind of a tablet. This survey by Pew was mostly focused on the tablets.

Another interesting fact that came up with this release is that the number of tablet users has been doubled from a poll conducted in the mid of December. So we can say that during the Holiday season the number of tablets sold was almost equal to the total number of tablets sold till December of 2011.

The E-readers have also increased by exactly the same margin over this period as it jumped from 10 percent to 19 percent. And if we take both the tablets and the E-readers together we have around 28 percent of the adult Americans using a tablet type device. This total was about 19 percent before the Holiday sales.

So it is really clear that the tablet market is really growing very fast.
