The TCL C1 Google TV projector has dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon. A substantial $100 discount off its $279.99 MSRP results in a final price of $179.99, an excellent savings on this LCD projector.
The portable TCL C1 is designed for smaller rooms and comes with a built-in carry handle. It offers up to a 120-inch image thanks to its 230 ISO-lumen LED light source. During Notebookcheck testing, the reviewer found the unit to provide a solid, enjoyable image in darkened rooms thanks to its automatic image adjustment. Also, the 8-watt speaker had no noticeable distortion at its highest volume levels thanks to Dolby Audio technology.
As downsides, sound when sitting in front of the projector has some treble falloff due to a backward-firing driver. Also, it cannot be used in brightly lit areas without washing out, unlike the more expensive Valerion VisionMaster Max laser projector reviewed by Notebookcheck (also on sale on Amazon).
Nonetheless, the inclusion of Google TV brings hundreds of free TV channels along with broad app support that enables viewers to enjoy streaming services from Netflix to Spotify in darkened rooms after a long day at work or school. Smartphone mirroring apps and HDMI input further expand the usefulness of the TCL C1.
Buy the TCL C1 Google TV projector on Amazon before the Black Friday sale ends.
