Oppo is busy teasing its soon to be released R9s midranger but even so, leakers are uncovering even more information. Apart from a high resolution render picture, that does look like an official press render, we also found some pamphlets on Weibo, that not only mention the R9s but also its larger brother, the R9s Plus. We already know that the R9s will have a 5.5 inch Full-HD display. The Plus model will up that size to 6 inch while retaining the Full-HD resolution of his younger sibling.
While the smaller R9s will feature a Snapdragon 625 processor, the Plus model will be a bit faster thanks to its Snapdragon 653 processor with Adreno 515-GPU. If this information is correct, the R9s Plus will be the first smartphone ever to come with the Snapdragon 653. Both models will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage and will both come with the new Sony IMX 398 sensor that Oppo is touting as the best thing since sliced bread. Official launch date is October the 19th, that is just three days from now so be sure to check this site again to read all about it.
