AMD Radeon 620 vs ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 vs AMD Radeon 610

AMD Radeon 620

► remove from comparison

The Radeon 620 is a dedicated entry-level graphics card for laptops that was released in 2019. According to AMD there are two versions of the GPU one with 5 CUs and most likely higher clock speeds and a 6 CU version with 384 cores. Furthermore, the chip can be paired with slow DDR3 (maybe for the 6 CU version) and faster GDDR5. The chip is most likely not based on any current architecture like Navi or even Polaris, but still the old Sun chip from 2014 (e.g. from the Radeon R5 M230 and later up to M440 and Radeon 520).

The performance depends of the used version and graphics memory, but should be somewhere between a Radeon 520 and 530 in the absolute entry level. That means, only a few modern games like Dirt Rally 2.0 should run fluently on the GPU.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670

► remove from comparison ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670

The AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670 is a laptop graphics card and technically a higher clocked HD 3650 with clock rates nearly as high as the old 2600 XT. Compared to it, the HD 3650 should be cooler (55nm process) and features DirectX 10.1 support.

The 3D performance of the HD 3670 is on average a bit better than the old Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT. Therefore, old DirectX 9 games should be fully playable with mostly high details. Modern demanding games are only playable with minimum-modest detail settings and resolutions (e.g. Crysis 1).

120 Stream processors (48 5-dimensional Shader units) manage the tasks of the Shader and Pixel pipelines. Due to the 5-dimensional structure, the amount of shaders can not be directly compared to Nvidia graphics cards.

Due to Avivo HD video engine the graphic card can support the processor with several HD video operations. VC-1 and H.264 can be fully decoded using the graphics card. MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and DivX can be accelerated using Motion Compensation and IDCT using the UVD on the graphics card.

Compared to the desktop HD 3670, the Mobility HD 3670 has a slower clock rate and should perform more like a desktop HD 3650.

AMD Radeon 610

► remove from comparison

The Radeon 610 is a dedicated entry-level graphics card for laptops that was released in 2019. It is the slowest dedicated graphics card from AMD in 2019 and a rename of the old Radeon 520. Therefore, it is not based on the newer Polaris or even Navi architecture, but should use the old Sun chip from 2014 (Radeon R5 M230 e.g.).

The performance should be similar to the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 and therefore, the gaming performance is only suited for very low demanding games. Look at our benchmarks of the similar Radeon 520 for reference.
