RIM releases latest Playbook OS 2.0

BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2 update released for the Playbook users and this version is expected to be equipped with a lot of improvements from the earlier version

The BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 is ultimately out for download. This OS has been in the news for a long time since the earlier version of the OS was unable to fulfill user’s expectations. This new version of the OS is believed to be the savior for the dying PlayBook tablet.

To update your device with the latest version, you need to go to settings on your tablet and check for updates. According to Research in Motion’s press release this new OS will be able to enrich the user’s experience.

This platform has introduced a lot of features which includes an integrated email client with a powerful unified Inbox. This Inbox combines all the messages in one place including messages from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter as well as work and personal email accounts. The Blackberry Bridge application is also being updated and thus it is easier and faster now to connect Blackberry devices for sharing media.

The Calendar and Contacts application has been integrated socially which allows you to harness information about any person from social networking sites and dynamically populate with updated information.

Along with all these, a lot of new applications are added to the BlackBerry App World as well as a range of Android applications that will run on the Blackberry Playbooks. Parallel to this update RIM is also initialized the release of the BlackBerry Mobile Fusion that will include support for managing Playbooks and smartphones in an enterprise. However the complete version is expected to be released by late March 2012.
