LG and Google's Nexus 5 smartphone has been available in black and white models since its launch, and a new color is now being added to the portfolio. The red Nexus 5 had been rumored over the past month and LG made it official in a press release today.
The bright red device is already being made available and retails for the same as the black and white colors, with a $349 and $399 price tag for the 16GB and 32GB models respectively. Features and specifications are also the same, including a 5 inch IPS display, Android 4.4 KitKat and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU.
The new color will be available through Google Play this month in the United States, Canada, U.K, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Korea with wider availability in Europe scheduled by the end of this month. The red Nexus 5 will also be carried by certain retailers, though that is limited to select markets.
