Sony is apparently going to release a refreshed version of its VAIO C series. The 2012 version of the VAIO C will most likely come in 14- and 15- inch sizes with Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge CPUs, respectively. The latter is expected to have Ivy Bridge options sometime post launch, sources claim.
The leaked press images from the NotebookReview.com forums suggest that the new VAIO C will come in four different colors: white with teal trim, silver with black trim, pink with pink trim and black with orange trim. Close-up images of the lid indicate a brushed metal finish but the material used on the inside might be plastic just like the current C series. It also has an interesting paper-clip side design with a soft edge and will likely have a chiclet design, backlit keyboard.
The VAIO C series are budget laptops. While there aren't any words on its exact model number, full specs or price, it is safe to say that the upcoming C series will probably stay on the entry-level side.
