If you haven't heard, Toshiba is planning the release of their next tablet, which will boast a thickness of only 7.7mm, a full array of micro connection ports, and a 10.1" screen.
The new tablet was also slated for a release that would put it in time for Christmas shoppers but that doesn't appear to be the case. As per a post on their official Facebook page a Toshiba representative seems to have revealed that we shouldn't expect to see the AT200 until January 2012.
With the release on the Asus Transformer Prime and it's quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, one can only wonder if Toshiba has taken a step back with their tablet to allow the Prime some space as they will likely be competing at the same price point.
While the two tablets are certainly aimed at different markets, with the Prime being for the 'Premium' consumer and the AT200 aimed directly at the 'Mainstream' consumer concerned with size and aesthetics, perhaps Toshiba feels that waiting until the beginning of next year will allow their device to mature a bit more so that it might offer up stiffer competition to the Prime.
