The AMD Phenom II Dual-Core Mobile N620 is a dual core processor for laptops that clocks with 2.8 GHz. Due to the missing level 3 cache, the architecture is similar to the desktop Athlon II X2 (Athlon II X2 240e - Regor).
The performance should be similar to a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo (because of the larger Cache of the Core 2 series in this clock range). Compared to current Intel Core-i processors, the Phenom II N620 is only as fast as an entry level Core i3-330M in synthetic benchmarks.
As a difference to the Core 2 series, the Phenom II offers an integrated DDR3 memory controller on the processor die.
The AMD Phenom II X2 Dual-Core Mobile X620 BE (Black Edition) is a dual core processor for laptops that clocks with 3.1 GHz. Due to the missing level 3 cache, the architecture is similar to the desktop Athlon II X2 (Athlon II X2 255). The performance should be similar to a 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo (because of the larger Cache of the Core 2 series in this clock range). Due to the missing multiplicator lock, the X620BE is easy to overclock.
As a difference to the Core 2 series, the Phenom II offers an integrated DDR3 memory controller on the processor die. It is manufactured in 45nm SOI and specified with 45 Watt TDP.
