ATI Mobility Radeon X2500 vs ATI Mobility Radeon X2300

ATI Mobility Radeon X2500

► remove from comparison ATI Mobility Radeon X2500

Like the ATI Mobility Radeon X2300, the ATI Mobility Radeon X2500 is a renamed  X1600 / X1700 chip with DirectX 9 support. According first informations the memory bus is reduced to 64 bit (ATI tool and SE nomenclature). Therefore, the video card shows a clearly worse performance.

The card appeared in the laptops Asus Z53Se and F3SE with 128 MB DDR2 memory. According 3DMark 2006 the card is identified as RV530 SE.

The gaming performance ought to be classified comparable to X1400 and is sufficient for not demanding games.

► remove from comparison ATI Mobility Radeon X2300

ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 is the successor of ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 for notebooks. Technically it is just a renamed X1350 and therefore also only supports DirectX 9. Also the gaming performance is compareable to the X1350. This means only very low setting in not very demanding games can be displayed fluently.

As other X1000 cards the X2300 supports AVIVO video engine to accelerate MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, WMV9 and VC-1 videos.

The HD version also supports the UVD acceleration for HD videos.

Aero Glass of Windows Vista should run fluently.
