MiFi bundles, special tariff plans on offer for Wi-Fi iPads by Verizon

Teaser
First ever deal between Apple and Verizon, but the prices are similar for the machines that are on offer

In an unexpected but welcome move, Verizon has struck an official deal with Apple Inc. to carry the iPad tablet in its stores. The US mobile network carrier will provide its Novatel MiFi 2200 to share a 3G connection with both the Wi-Fi models of iPad and other four gadgets. Verizon has also made offers that are up for grabs: iPad buyers will get 1GB of data for the MiFi each month for $20.

The company has also confirmed that the deal is not a compulsion for those who want to get their hands on the Wi-Fi only iPad.

The iPad tablet will be available on stores shelves from October 28 and will include 16GB, 32GB and 64GB MiFi versions for price tags at $630, $730 and $830 respectively, which is precisely same for the 3G iPad for AT&T and the machines will be available without contracts. The prices are similar for Wi-Fi tablet with MiFi channel with any other channel that can be availed.

The surprise deal between Apple and Verizon is their first ever deal and there is a general belief rising on the leak report to iPhone on Verizon early next year. Same thing happened with AT &T, be it iPhone or iPad. There have been various technical snags on the iPad due to which Apple has temporarily dropped AT&T for this particular reason. They are also hoping that if they made an offer for the iPad then Apple will made an offer for the iPhone instead and thereby temporarily drop plans for EVDO-native iPad.
