Maingear Introduces eX-L 15, Sandy Bridge and Full HD Galore
It seems that manufacturers can’t release the new Sandy Bridge laptops fast enough. The latest entry comes courtesy of American manufacturer Maingear. The high-end, custom notebook company’s latest edition is the eX-L 15, featuring a 2nd generation Intel i processor and a top of the line NVIDIA GPU.
According to a press release, the gaming behemoth features a 15.6” Full HD screen with resolutions up to 1920X1080 pixels, a choice of Core i5 or i7 Sandy Bridge processor, NVIDIA’s GTX 460M or 485M with 1.5 or 2 GB of RAM respectively, and up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory. Other options include a 1TB HDD and a Blu-ray Reader. Starting configurations are priced at $1,579.
Maingear CEO, Wallace Santos, had the following to say about the eX-L 15:
“We continually strive to push our system’s performance over the edge. With Intel and NVIDIA’s latest mobile technology, we are giving our customers a notebook that will really plow through anything they try throwing at it; it will be no surprise that any PC enthusiast will want to get their hands on our eX-L 15.”
While a bold statement to make, it appears to be backed by the high-end components of this gaming laptop.
