AMD’s 2nd generation APUs were first introduced back in mid-June, but the Fusion processors are just making their way into notebooks stateside. The first such culprit is MSI’s X370 notebook, which is being refreshed stateside as the X370-205US, after swapping out its older E-350 Zacate chip for a newer Llano E-450 APU.
Sadly, outside of the shinier (albeit more powerful) processor, the X370 doesn’t really offer much, as its 13.4” display still has a resolution of 1366x768 pixels, and the included 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD were present prior to the refresh. On the other hand, the E-450 does feature an onboard Radeon HD 6320, an upgrade over the previous HD 6310; though we can’t really say that it justifies a $580 price tag.
MSI’s latest is currently shipping from Amazon and Newegg, and interested parties can head on over via the links below.
