At first glance, the MSI Raider A16 HX B8WH doesn't stand out much among gaming laptops, with the same RBG backlighting, utilitarian body, massive and loud cooling, etc. However, this particular model will be remembered for two rather notable moments: it is the first laptop with an RTX 5070 Ti with 12 GB in our editorial team, the performance of which generally left an excellent impression; and it is also one of the few laptops today that has really convenient access to a memory upgrade.

MSI: Micro-Star International (MSI) was founded in 1986 in Taiwan. MSI is especially known as a manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards for PCs, but also offers computer accessories, complete systems, motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, desktop PCs, monitors and other components. However, the Microstar brand name in Germany belongs to the Medion company. MSI is known for its gaming products and has developed a wide range of gaming laptops and desktop PCs. The company is also active in workstations, servers and industrial automation. MSI has offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

These graphics cards are able to play the latest and most demanding games in high resolutions and full detail settings with enabled Anti-Aliasing.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop: A fast graphics card from the Blackwell family for laptops that is based on the GB203 chip and uses 8,192 shaders and 16 GB GDDR7 graphics memory (256-bit graphics bus).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop: An upcoming graphics card from the Blackwell family for laptops, which Team Green will most likely present at CES 2025. We assume that it will be based on GB205 chip, with 5,888 active unified shaders (CUDA cores).

AMD Dragon Range:

R9 8940HX: A flagship 16-core Dragon Range refresh lineup laptop processor that debuted in April 2025. The product offers 16 SMT-enabled Zen 4 cores (32 threads) running at 2.4 GHz to 5.3 GHz, along with a rather basic Radeon 610M RDNA 2 architecture iGPU. This Ryzen 9 8000 APU is essentially a Ryzen 9 7940HX with the Turbo clock speed increased by 100 MHz.
