Leaked info points towards Sandy bridge Core i7 processor with HD displays

Lenovo might unveil the T420 and T520 next month – as reported by Laptoping. Both laptops might feature high resolution display panels as well as NVIDIA Optimus technology. There will also be the Lenovo RapidDrive technology helping to boot your device real fast – in just about 20 secs!

T420

This Sandy bridge laptop should have a display panel with a resolution of 1600×900 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 16:9 that is perfect for wide-screen viewing. Although there is no confirmation on the processor model and graphics card, but hopefully it will be an Intel with an Intel HD as integrated and an NVIDIA dedicated card. The Optimus technology will help switching between the two depending on the demand of the application.

It weighs about 4.9 pounds (equivalent of about 2.22kgs). The pricing and other features are not known yet.

T520

This one should be the heavier, more powerful (not necessarily more beautiful) and pricier of the two. The T520 is expected to be powered by an Intel Intel Core i7-2820QM processor with a clock speed ranging from 2300 - 3400 MHz. This 32-nm quad-core processor is a high-end fast one with support for Hyperthreading to handle all the 8 threads at once. The T520 will also have the Optimus edge.

The T520 will weigh significantly more than the T420 at 5.7 pounds (about 2.68kgs). There are no words on the pricing and availability as of now.
