Lithe and lissome. The British manufacturer Kazam holds a record: The Kazam Tornado 348 is the thinnest smartphone in the world. Our review will check the other qualities of the smartphone.

Initially we saw the massive range of handsets KAZAM were selling and many thought that they were just “box shifters”. However, with this more premium model (which is well thought-out, I must admit) they’re definitely pushing things on a step. OK, so the cameras aren’t fantastic and don’t work fantastically in low light. OK, there’s no 4G and no microSD slot, but this does have a solid and professional design, a painfully thin appearance (which does attract attention, let me tell you), a great battery life, a speedy experience and a very good price.

We were pleasantly surprised how easy the phone is to live with thanks to its respectable battery life (always one of the main worries with a super-slim phone), and the fact that Kazam actually seems to care about its customers makes a refreshing change, but you’ve got to really prioritise those things if you’re going to overlook its many omissions and shortcomings.

If you're looking for the thinnest and lightest smartphone possible then look no further than the Kazam Tornado 348. However, the design of this phone has a negative effect elsewhere and the phone falls down compared to rivals in terms of hardware and performance. The lack of expandable storage and 4G are stand out omissions making the Nexus 5 and Honor 6 better buys. We award four stars.

While the company is well known for its low-price, high-value handsets, much of the Kazam Tornado 455L's budget seems to have been spent on surface concerns such as the dual Gorilla Glass front/back panels, rather than on important elements such as the screen and CPU.

5.00:
It is a very small display format for smartphones. You should by no means be mis-sighted and you will generally see very little on the screen and only have a small resolution available. In return, the device should be very small and handy.

73.18%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
