JooJoo makers out with new Grid 10 tablet running "GridOS"

Fusion Garage starts pre ordering for their latest Grid 10 tablet

Fusion garage! Yes this is the same name that was stuck with the controversy of stealing the design of their last model of tablet popularly called as the JooJoo tablet. The JooJoo tablet was a real disaster as sales of the product was truly affected by the controversy. The per-order facility was utilized by only 90 customers and later 15 among then had cancelled their orders.

Even after serving such a disaster Fusion Garage managed to come up with their new model - a Tablet called Grid 10. It is powered by a new android-based operating system called the Grid OS customized in-house. Grid OS is based on the Android kernel and the tablet can run Android apps.

What sets the OS apart from Android is a custom user interface, a custom suite of apps including media players and email application and a feature Fusion Garage calls “Seamless State” which furnishes you with a facility to resume watching a movie, listening to a song, or performing another action at the space where you last left off. You can even pick up a video on the phone from the point where you stopped watching on your tablet or vice versa.

The” chromeless” design as mentioned by the company for the web browser does not provides the users with the URL bar, back or forward buttons, or other features that take up screen real estate. Instead the users can use the on-screen gestures and an on screen wheel that lets the users to move between browser tab and perform other applications provided in the page.

The tablet Grid 10

Grid 10 tablet is provided with a 10.1inch display with a resolution of around 1366 x 768 pixels. It has a 1.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. Weighing only about 0.69kg this model has a front facing camera of 1.3MP and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 for connectivity. It also has 512MB of RAM and storage of 16GB. Other specification includes GPS, a 3-axis gyroscope, an accelerometer, and ambient light sensor. The dimensions for the tablet measures 274.2 x 173.5 x 13.9mm and it runs on a 5,800mAh battery. This model is priced as $499 for the normal Wi-Fi version and $599 for the 3G version.

Trying to clear their past and looking forward for a good response from the customers this model is really going to decide their existence in the future.
