Intel retiring Atom D2700

Intel soon to release a new Atom processor which will be replacing the current D2700 processors

Intel is on their way to replace the current 32nm and 45nm Atom processors with their new third generation 32nm Atom processors. The earlier Netbook processor D2700 was released in September last year which was priced at $52.

It was only next to the first third generation 32nm Atom processor, the D2500. Intel has mentioned that the order for these new processors will be taken until 29th of June this year and might start shipping these processors by September 28th.

Not much information has been revealed yet about the new processor.
