Huawei MediaPad now available for enterprise users on AT&T

Teaser
The 7-inch Springboard tablet from T-Mobile can now be had for the AT&T network

The Huawei MediaPad tablet, otherwise known as the Springboard to T-Mobile users, is now up for sale for AT&T customers in the U.S. However, users should note that the tablet is only available for enterprise users, so regular users with typical account plans will not have the Huawei tablet option at all, at least not directly.

The 7-inch MediaPad tablet has otherwise remained essentially unchanged from the T-Mobile version, including its 1280x800 resolution IPS display, Android 3.2 software, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, HDMI-out, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and a 16GB SSD. The tablet will be compatible with AT&T’s HSPA+ network for 4G speeds.

Unfortunately, the press release makes no mention of an ICS update in the near future, although PhoneArena claims that the manufacturer is already hard at work on updating its MediaPad tablet with Android 4.0.

The contract price of the MediaPad is not explicitly mentioned, although the press release says it is at an “attractive price point”. For T-Mobile, however, the Springboard launched for less than $200, so a similar or even lower price point is expected.
